Feasibility Study and Master Plan for Ecotourism Development in Atap Village, North Kalimantan
Within the framework of Indonesian-German government cooperation, GIZ PROPEAT partnered with the DESMA Center to implement the project “Institutional Capacity Building for Village Government and Social Forestry Management to Develop Community-based Ecotourism”. One of the activities carried out was the preparation of a feasibility study and a master plan for the development of ecotourism in the village.
The Feasibility Study and Master Plan for Ecotourism Development in Atap Village, Sembakung Subdistrict, Nunukan Regency, North Kalimantan Province, are expected to serve as a reference for the sustainable development of village ecotourism—not only in terms of physical infrastructure but also human resource development—to support the management and protection of peatlands and mangroves, boost the local economy, and preserve local culture.
